This spacious, comfortable home converted from two ancient stone houses. Accommodation comprises four bedrooms, 2 & 1/2 bathrooms (one en-suite) and a separate WC.

Penela is host to a number of colorful folk festivals. The largest of which takes place in September The festival of Sao Miguel where Honey, Walnuts and strings of Onions are for sale. The town first given it’s charter in 1137 has all of the modern amenities that you could wish for. Banks, post office, restaurants, cafes and shops. There is also a lively market each Wednesday where you can buy fresh fish, meat and vegetables. The many stalls sell everything from leather boots and belts to pots, pans and farming implements. The grilled chicken vendors offer a simple, tasty lunch with wine at very low-cost.
